‘Think big’, I have been told many times over, but what of the small, the microscopic, the details? Ever since I can remember I love losing myself into the small and rich worlds of moss, textile fibre, nudibranches, detailed miniatures – in short: the macro world.
The ink drawings are like secret visions of other worlds, grouped thematically around topics I dove into for larger works. They are as it were snapshots of visual thoughts. There are memento mori images, the drowning castles, the hermit pieces and landscapes. They all come together in their underlying theme of time and change. What will pass, what will remain?

Hand drawn with a dip pen and ink on 100% cotton paper. Ink varying from blue black to green and ochre. Dimensions: 7,5 x 10 cm with rough natural edges. Excluding frame.
